I've decided to restructure this Luna Plena account and focus on sharing only quotes here, while my illustrations will be posted on a new account: @yukim.paints. 🎨 If you enjoy my art, please consider following the new account!

By separating these two projects, I hope to embrace a new level of creative freedom with my illustrations, while keeping this account as a calm and inspiring space dedicated to uplifting quotes. Life has brought many changes recently. In March, I faced some health challenges, and shortly after, I decided to move back to Japan to be closer to my family as I raise my son. It took a bit of adjusting, but I’m finally settling in and looking forward to continuing my journey with both quotes and illustrations.

Do you keep a journal?

I used to journal on and off. Most of the time, I wrote when I had problems, and then after hard times, I stopped writing. Or I only wrote when I was in the mood for, like, when I’m at a coffee shop by myself or while traveling.

It’s been about a year since I started meditating and journaling regularly. Over the past few years or so, so many things have happened in my life, both things that made me overjoyed and things that didn’t go as I wished. Journaling became like a best friend I call to talk about everything in my life.

The benefits of writing a diary are:

When feeling anxious or irritated, expressing emotions through writing helps release the feelings, and it leads to a mindset of trying to find solutions.

Conversely, writing about positive experiences helps in not forgetting them and allows the opportunity to relive the joy.

By consistently maintaining this habit, I have noticed a significant reduction in lingering negative emotions from the past, and I feel that my self-understanding has deepened.

If you are interested in jotting down your thoughts and feelings, why not begin with the mindful reflection journal? It might be a meaningful first step toward a journey of self discovery.
